Hong Kong Rebounds On Property, Commodity Shares

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong shares rebounded early Wednesday after dropping in five of the previous six sessions, with property developers and commodity stocks leading the charge. The Hang Seng Index rose 0.9% to 21,432.97 and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gaining 1.4% to 12,679.34. Shares of Sino Land Co. rose 1.4% and Henderson Land Development Co. rising 1.1%, with Aluminum Corp. of China climbing 2.3%. Chinese shares took a breather after strong recent outperformance, with the Shanghai Composite down 0.1% after a three-session rally.
