U.K. Oct. House Prices Up 1.2%: Halifax

LONDON -- British house prices rose 1.2% in October, for the fourth consecutive monthly rise, mortgage lender Halifax reported Tuesday. In the three months to October, house prices were 4.7% lower compared to the same period last year.
