Apple Announces Press Event, Expected to Unveil iPod Updates

Apple (AAPL) announced a special media event on Sept. 9 in San Francisco, where many expect it will announce updates to its line of iPods, as it traditionally has each year.
There has been a lot of speculation that the company is working on a tablet computer. It's possible the company could unveil such a device at this event.
